solved the issue of not taking pics...
...now i just have to figure out how i can convince you wonderful people to buy me a new, faster computer :)
I have plenty of images, but my computer decided to slow down. So I'm too lazy to process the images. It's good though...forcing me to take perfect images without processing them. Thanks B.O., L.A., L.O. and L.G for being my subjects last weekend. Pictures of them coming in the next week or so.

Reuters Photos of The Year (2005)
i posted this a while ago...but i'm an image addict. what can i say.
which one is your favorite?
The international jury of the 49th annual World Press Photo contest selected a color image of the Canadian photographer Finbarr O'Reilly of Reuters as World Press Photo of the Year 2005. The picture shows the emaciated fingers of a one-year-old child pressed against the lips of his mother at an emergency feeding clinic in Niger. A devastating swarm of locusts and the worst drought in decades left millions of people short of food in the African state. The picture was taken in Tahoua, northwestern Niger, on 1 August 2005.
World Press Photo jury chairman James Colton described the winning image: "This picture has haunted me ever since I first saw it two weeks ago. It has stayed in my head, even after seeing all the thousands of others during the competition. This image has everything - beauty, horror and despair. It is simple, elegant and moving."
This year 4,448 professional photographers from 122 countries entered 83,044 images in the most prestigious annual international competition in press photography. The judging sessions took place in Amsterdam from 28 January to 9 February and were completely digital.
The jury gave prizes in 10 theme categories to 63 photographers of 25 nationalities from: Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, the Netherlands, Norway, People's Republic of China, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom and the USA.
Finbarr O'Reilly, the author of the World Press Photo of the Year 2005, will receive his award and a cash prize of 10,000 euro at the awards ceremony in the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, on Sunday 23 April 2006. In addition, Canon will donate O'Reilly a Canon EOS 1D Mark II n camera.

Why would a guy as talented as Lagbaja (Nigerian artist performing in DC, August 4th. Click here for details) choose to remain faceless? ALL the time?
7.12.2006
When i first started photography, i knew i wanted to get into ALL sorts of photography. I was mainly inspired by other photographers- both old and new. Not taking certain photographs, because of opinions of others, goes against what I stand for. Unfortunately, I would have to deal with some criticism from people very close to me.
That's what you'll get for wanting to be artistic... and appreciated. Below are photo works (best viewed from his website) from another phtotographer that inspires me, Leo. Check out his website. He'll like for you not to be offended, and it contains some artistic nudity.
Ummm...look out for my series in the fall.

Andrew Dosunmu: The African GameLead sponsorship provided by PUMA®,the publisher of the book, The African GameJune 22 – July 22, 2006http://www.brooklynx.org/rotunda/exhibitions.aspOpening Reception:Thursday, June 22, 2006 6 to 9 pm with DJ NatureBrooklyn’s Rotunda Gallery is pleased to present The African Game, organized by Isolde Brielmaier and Knox Robinson in conjunction with The Beautiful Game: Contemporary Art and Fútbol, co-curated by Trevor Schoonmaker and Franklin Sirmans. THE AFRICAN GAME will feature never before seen photographs, video footage, and a site-specific installation by photographer Andrew Dosunmu and writer Knox Robinson, inspired by their forthcoming book project, The African Game (PUMA, 2006). During 2005-06, Andrew Dosunmu and Knox Robinson traveled throughout West Africa documenting the spirit and passion surrounding the game of fútbol. Their trip came to a dramatic climax at the African Cup of Nations held in Egypt in January 2006. Using photography and narrative, Dosunmu and Robinson capture the unique culture and character of African fútbol through eyes of local communities, fans and players on the field. From Senegal and Cameroon to Ghana and Egypt, Dosunmu’s photos effortlessly shift between the soccer field and the street, capturing candid moments that reveal Africa’s passion for fútbol. Narratives by Robinson further frame the story, elucidating the continent’s deep-rooted ties to the game.
